The foundations were rebuilt by on-site contractors Jack moody Ltd. Of Wolverhampton who were refurbishing many areas of Eureka Park following the designs of Ashmead Price of Burton-on-Trent.
The EoT and information plaque etched by Galsworthy Graphics and signs of Wick,ย near Bristol.
The gnomon was shaped by water-jet and is anchored deeply in the sub-structure. Welding was by Fischer and Company of Somerton, Somerset.
Funding was by the Heritage Lottery Fund and South Derbyshire District Council.
The (approximately 110) separate pieces of stone were hand- shaped and lettering hand-cut by David Brown, and laid with the help of Jenny Brown and family.
